What is PRX Facial?

A PRX facial, also known as a PRX-T33 facial or BioRePeel, is a non-surgical cosmetic treatment designed to improve the texture and appearance of the skin. It is a relatively new and innovative approach to skin rejuvenation. PRX stands for “Peroxide Rejuvenation Treatment,” and it is often considered a chemical peel alternative. Our PRX-T33 skin treatment enables us to offer our clients the very latest in facial biorevitalization and stimulation without injections of any kind, or the discomfort and peeling other facial peel formulations can cause.

Here are some key points about PRX Facial:

How it Works

PRX facial uses a combination of trichloroacetic acid (TCA) and hydrogen peroxide to stimulate skin regeneration without causing excessive peeling or downtime. The TCA penetrates the skin to stimulate collagen production and improve skin texture, while the hydrogen peroxide enhances the absorption of TCA and provides immediate hydration.

Indications

PRX facial is commonly used to address various skin concerns, including fine lines and wrinkles, uneven skin tone, acne scars, and sun damage. It can be used on the face, neck, décolletage, and hands.

Benefits

PRX facial provides a range of benefits, including improved skin texture, reduced wrinkles, a more even skin tone, and enhanced hydration. It can be suitable for individuals with various skin types and tones.

Procedure

The treatment involves the application of a PRX solution to the skin. The solution is left on the skin for a short period, usually less than 30 minutes. The treated area may appear red and slightly swollen immediately after the procedure but generally subsides within a day or two.

Recovery and Results

One of the advantages of PRX facial is minimal downtime. Some redness and mild flaking may occur, but you can typically resume regular activities shortly after the treatment. Most patients notice an immediate improvement in skin texture and hydration, with more significant results becoming apparent in the days and weeks following the treatment.

Number of Sessions

The number of PRX facial sessions needed can vary depending on individual skin concerns and goals. A series of treatments may be recommended to achieve optimal results.

What can be Combined with PRX

PRX performs well with multiple different modalities like Injectables, PRP, PDO threads, non Ablative Laser, RF Microneedling, Dermaplaning, Hydrafacial, etc.

Maintenance

To maintain the benefits of PRX facial, periodic treatments may be recommended, typically every few months.
